Susan Stewart worked in Corporate America for more than 25 years before she left to join her husband Mike in building their Internet business full-time. Her experience in procurement, office organization and management helped them to start Soundpages.com, after closing a Recording Studio business that Mike had owned for more than 20 years. Soundpages.com started as a web design company assisting local businesses to gain a web presence, but has now become a worldwide endeavor with more over 100 sites which sell training, software and audio/video products. Mike is now a Speaker and Trainer who teaches people how to put audio & video on their websites as well as show them how to have control over the updating of content. The experience of traveling around the world with him to seminars has given Susan the opportunity to really see what works and doesn’t work at these events.

As a single mother who moved to Atlanta area in 1987, Susan needed to meet new people. A business acquaintance told her about ABWA (American Business Women’s Association) so she found a local chapter and joined. As an active member Susan helped organize fund rasing events such as fashion shows, wine tastings and product sales which helped her chapter give scholarships to deserving people. The networking opportunities at each meeting taught her how to meet new people easily.

In 1996, after Mike & Susan married,  the economy changed so they needed to revise the direction of the Recording Studio business. Mike began building websites  targeting local businesses, but soon found that it was “the World Wide Web” and he could go to any city in America to build a site. Attending networking meetings was the best way for them to meet new people. During the first year of their marriage, Susan was a stay-at-home with their 3 pre-teen children, but took a corporate job to help keep them afloat. After closing the Recording Studio, they incorporated Soundpages.com and began building a family business that their children could someday share in. Susan and Mike have been actively attending seminars, events, and networking meetings ever since then. Their oldest son Michael owns his own Internet business http://directhorizon.com/, their daughter Lindsey is a student and their youngest son Eric, along with his fiancee Anna work closely with Mike building websites, shooting video & photographs and assiting with events held by the company.
